Commitment to Christ
3 STEPS TO TAKE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER.
ONE
Agree with God that there are things that you have done, thought, or said that were against his character. God will not allow our bad behaviour to pollute his pure kingdom. Ask God to forgive you, then accept his forgiveness. We must be forgiven if we are to live with him forever.
TWO
Believe that Jesus is God the Son and that he came to earth to make it possible for us to be able to be one of his family in Heaven. His death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead three days later was real. He took upon himself the punishment that we deserve and his resurrection from the dead shows clearly that he has power over death and will enable us to live forever.
THREE
Ask Jesus to be a part of your life. He will place his Holy Spirit into you as a guarantee that you are a part of his eternal family. Without the Holy Spirit you will never spend eternity with God.
Why not start with a very simple expression of faith. There are two prayers, one for those who are seeking to know if God is true and one for those who believe in Jesus Christ and want to become a part of God's eternal Family. If one of these prayers expresses your heart's desire why not pray this prayer and express your heart's desire to God.
A prayer for those who want to know if God is true.
Almighty God, my mind cannot grasp your greatness, or how much you love me, but I want to know you in a personal way. I believe that Jesus Christ is someone very special but help me to see clearly who He really is. I know I have done things that are wrong and I need forgiveness. Please help me to receive your forgiveness. I do want to establish an eternal relationship with You. Amen.
A prayer for those who believe that Jesus Christ is our Creator and Saviour and want to ask Him to save them from the punishment for the sins they have committed and give them God’s gift of eternal life.
Almighty God, I know that I have sinned against you and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross to take the punishment that I deserve and that you arose from the dead giving me the confidence that I can trust you for my salvation. Please come into my life and be my Saviour. Help me to be the person You want me to be. Thank you for loving me and please receive my love in return. Amen.

These prayers are not some magical formula, but if they express what is on your heart why not express to God what you really want to say to Him. God already knows your hearts desire. The words you use helps you to express your heart desire.
